Anyone know about Depression Glass? What Pattern is this?
When it comes to acquiring blue cobalt glassware, beauty really is in the eyes of the beholder. It is impossible to tell what a specific individual is going to fall in love with. Just as challenging is producing any piece of art that will be attractive to everyone. No matter how great the master, there are some persons who will not be partial to or recognize the value of his ability. On the other hand, there are pieces that turn out to be collectible and valuable, at least to you, simply for the reason that you enjoy proudly owning them viewing them.
I was given these dishes and was told they are the very collectible "Depression Glass". The pattern is difficult to describe, I can email a photo if you think you can help. It looks kind of like a star and flower at the same time. It has points all around the edges and a starburst in the center. I cannot find anywhere in any book what pattern this is. Anyone know?
