i have decorative dishes blue edges fading to silver in the center. any help telling me designer?
When it comes to collecting blue cobalt glassware, beauty certainly is in the eyes of the viewer. It is impossible to tell what a specific individual is going to fall in love with. Just as difficult is producing any piece of fine art that is able to be attractive to everyone. No matter how great the master, there are some people that will not enjoy or recognize the value of his skill. On the other hand, there are pieces which turn out to be collectible as well as valuable, at least to the collector, simply because you enjoy possessing them viewing them.
i have pictures of the dishes but have no clue how to attach them. i looked on the bottom of the plates, bowls etc but there are absolutely no markings. i have seen the same pieces in stores (not dept stores) with colors like a dark purple, green, and rose all fading into silver towards the middle but as luck would have it cant remember the stores. any help would be appreciated!
When you are just beginning your collection of cobalt blue glass, or adding pieces of a distinct era or artiste, be sure and browse the web. It is a great place to enrich your knowledge. The collector will furthermore find some remarkable bargains. However browse prudently and take pleasure in your passion of collecting period glass. Remember, it isn't what someone else thinks a piece is worth, it is the joy it brings to the person personally that makes cobalt blue glassware worth acquiring.
Have you tried Target’s? They have a really big and nice housewares department. I have a pink depression glass collection and get matching pieces from Target’s.
