      It would depend on what you are referring to as Depression glass. Most vintage glass that is referred to as “depression” is characterized by the process used to manufacturer the pieces through stamping or forming the pieces in molds. The most common colors are light green, yellow or pink or clear glass. Later pieces can be found in carmel shades as well. But there are also iridescent or opalescent pieces referred to as Carnival glass that are actually of the same genre and can found in clear, purples or deep blues. Some depression ware glass pieces are referred to as ruby glass for it’s deep red color. There is even a purple so dark that it first appears black until held up to a bright light and of course much of the older Milk glass is made by the same process. But I think to answer your question, the basic pastels first mentioned.
