What type of depression glass is this?
When it comes to purchasing blue cobalt glass, beauty genuinely is in the eyes of the beholder. It is impossible to tell what a specific person is going to fall in love with. Just as challenging is producing any piece of art that may appeal to everybody. No matter how eminent the master, there are a few folks who will not enjoy or appreciate his skill. On the other hand, there are pieces which become collectible as well as important, at least to you, merely because you get pleasure from having them looking at them.
My Aunt was telling me about this cute little cup & saucer that has been passed down in my family from my great grandmother. This would have been in the 1920's or earlier. It is a blue color...not as dark as colbalt and at the top/rim of the cup it has a basket weave design. I have never seen it but I really need help. Does anyone know what I am talking about. Does anyone have any pictures of this? Does anyone have a name of what this design is called?
